

Located within the Ho Sik Yee Library on Hong Kong Metropolitan University’s Jockey Club Campus, this ongoing project transforms part of the existing library into a dynamic Vibrance Hub — a flexible, technology-driven environment designed to support presentations, sharing sessions, learning activities and institutional engagement.
Awarded through an open tender, the project involves the comprehensive conversion of an existing library zone into a multi-functional hub anchored by a large-scale, three-section LED display wall. In addition to the main LED feature, the scope includes the development of an AV control room, upgraded audiovisual infrastructure, CCTV and security provisions, lighting control systems, roller blinds, window treatments, electrical redistribution, ceiling and lighting modifications, wall finishes and new carpet flooring.
What makes this project particularly challenging is the need to maximize the potential of an existing institutional space while carefully integrating new technology, operational requirements and spatial experience. The design had to respond not only to visual impact, but also to practical considerations such as control systems, zoning, dimmable lighting scenes, AV coordination, security and long-term usability.
Beyond construction delivery, Enoch Deco has also been actively involved in the design development process, including material selection, colour coordination, finish detailing and the overall spatial tone. The result is a refined yet energetic environment that gives the library a renewed purpose — turning a conventional area into a more engaging, adaptable and future-ready learning hub.
This project also marks a meaningful opportunity for Enoch Deco to collaborate once again with Hong Kong Metropolitan University. As the works continue, we look forward to delivering a successful project that will become a valuable reference for future public and institutional spaces.
