Completed in 2025, this project involved restoring two historically significant architectural-scale models of Tseung Kwan O Hospital and designing and fabricating a bespoke display installation.
The scope focused on carefully reviving the original models—repairing aged components, refining architectural details, and reinstating material clarity—while introducing a contemporary display system that presents both models cohesively within the hospital’s public space.
Beyond restoration, the project reimagines how architectural heritage can be reintroduced in a modern institutional setting. A new display plinth, integrated lighting, and updated typographic treatment for the hospital name were developed to give the installation a renewed identity and presence.
The result is a refreshed and dignified presentation that brings new life to existing assets, offering the hospital a renewed visual narrative and a forward-looking approach to architectural display. The client received the completed installation well and represents a meaningful exploration of preservation through design.
