Completed in 2014, Swisscoat’s Hong Kong headquarters at One Mid Town, Tsuen Wan West, represents one of the company’s most ambitious spatial investments. Spanning 20,000 sq ft. across a newly completed commercial tower, the project consolidated multiple functions — corporate office, production workshop, client showcase zones, and a 400+ sq ft. sky garden — into a single flagship property owned by the client.
The design concept was rooted in a bold industrial style, with a contemporary reinterpretation tailored for corporate use. Red brick feature walls, exposed concrete floors, and structural steel frameworks established a raw, warehouse-inspired character. These elements paid homage to New York's industrial heritage while aligning with Swisscoat’s forward-looking identity.
To balance this rugged aesthetic, the interior incorporated colorful, modern furniture and precise detailing that reflected the client’s high standards for perfection and visual impact. This juxtaposition created a unique dynamic: a workplace that feels both authentic and vibrant, merging industrial honesty with curated sophistication.
Despite the scale and complexity of the program, the project was delivered within six months, a testament to rigorous planning, close coordination with contractors, and clear communication with the client. The outcome was a multifaceted headquarters that embodied Swisscoat’s brand values: innovation, precision, and an uncompromising commitment to quality.

MATERIALITY & DETAILING
The industrial-inspired aesthetic was expressed through:
Red brick walls referencing New York’s historic warehouse districts.
Exposed concrete walls and flooring highlight the raw honesty of materials.
Steel framework details, borrowing from construction motifs, reinforce the structural rhythm.
Colorful contemporary furniture, carefully selected to balance the industrial tone with vibrancy and modernity.
Lighting strategies emphasized contrast — spotlighting showcase areas while allowing natural light to soften the workspace. The material palette also underscored durability, sustainability, and long-term usability.
