Cozy Werkspace is a boutique co-working environment in the heart of Sheung Wan, explicitly designed for students, young professionals, and early-stage entrepreneurs.
The compact 2,000 sq. ft. workspace strikes a balance between affordability and a stylish, welcoming atmosphere. With its open layout, pastel-toned finishes, and ample natural light, the design embodies its name—“Cozy”—by creating a relaxed, approachable, and community-driven work hub.

CONCEPT & DESIGN INTENT
The goal was to establish a co-working hub that appeals to younger generations and first-time entrepreneurs. By focusing on affordability and comfort, the design intentionally avoids corporate stiffness. Instead, it embraces a warm, pastel-inspired palette with soft furnishings and playful accents, aligning with the founder’s youthful spirit and creating a welcoming brand identity.
SPATIAL STRATEGY / PLANNING LOGIC
Despite its modest footprint, the workspace integrates multiple functional zones:
Open Desking Area with pastel chairs and long worktables
Semi-Private Booths for focus work, framed with vertical slatted dividers
Small Meeting Rooms with frosted glass partitions for privacy
Reception & Pantry Corner positioned up front for both practicality and a sense of community
The circulation maximizes transparency and daylight flow, ensuring that even private spaces feel open and connected.

MATERIALITY & DETAILING
A light and airy material palette dominates—blonde woods, pastel chairs, frosted glass, and soft furnishings.
The exposed concrete ceiling paired with linear pendants introduces an urban-industrial layer, while pastel tones soften the atmosphere. Subtle lighting details, including LED coves and pendant lamps, accentuate both work areas and collaborative zones.

PROJECT GOALS & OUTCOMES
The project was successful:
Created an accessible entry-level co-working solution in Sheung Wan
Offered flexibility with semi-private and communal spaces
Reinforced Cozy’s approachable brand identity through color and material selection
Attracted a young, creative user base aligned with its mission
COLLABORATION & CONSTRAINTS
The project was realized through close collaboration with the young founders, who envisioned a new-generation co-working model. Constraints such as limited floor area and tight timelines were met with efficient spatial planning, modular furniture solutions, and fast-track finishes. The result is a compact yet versatile workspace, delivered within a two-month timeframe.
