CONCEPT & DESIGN INTENT
The client was a young marketing start-up aiming to project an innovative and energetic image. The design featured a youthful and trendy aesthetic, incorporating bold, illuminated graphics and interactive visual elements. The logo and entrance wall integrated the idea of digital “noise” with a sound equalizer screen, reinforcing the brand’s modern, tech-forward identity.
SPATIAL STRATEGY / PLANNING LOGIC
The space was designed around an open-plan office layout to promote transparency, collaboration, and creativity among a young workforce. Glass partitions defined meeting rooms, preserving visual connectivity. The circulation was kept fluid, with breakout points and common spaces designed for informal interactions.

MATERIALITY & DETAILING
Material choices balanced simplicity with vibrancy:
Reception/Entrance: Backlit acrylic panels with graphic overlays and a programmable LED light wall.
Meeting Rooms: Polished concrete-textured walls, glass partitions, integrated AV displays, and custom lighting for clarity and professionalism.
Workstations: Modular cubicles under high-exposure ceiling piping and pendant lighting, emphasizing an industrial loft-like character.
Feature Elements: A built-in aquarium integrated into the cabinetry added a playful and relaxing focal point.

PROJECT GOALS & OUTCOMES
The primary goal was to create a workspace that matched the client’s energetic brand identity and attracted young, creative talent. The resulting design delivered a fresh, dynamic environment that supported both formal business operations and informal creative exchange. The office was completed on schedule and provided a functional yet distinctive setting, positioning New Digital Noise as a forward-thinking local player in Hong Kong’s marketing scene.
COLLABORATION & CONSTRAINTS
Key challenges included maximizing a relatively compact 4,000 sq ft. floorplate while still providing open office zones, enclosed meeting rooms, and branding-heavy reception areas. Coordination with the client’s young, fast-paced team was essential to align the design vision with practical needs. Despite site constraints, the collaborative process ensured the office reflected both the company’s culture and its aspirational image.
